Complete project development process
Deutsche Hospitality is building the first hotel of its young Danish economy brand Zleep Hotels in Switzerland near Zurich Airport.
90 rooms, a spacious lobby with breakfast area and a bar are intended to set the first “Hygge” standard in the Swiss hotel industry. The operator and franchisee of the hotel is Säntis Home AG from St. Gallen.
The first Swiss Zleep Hotel will be built in Zurich-Kloten by 2023. The new building will be embedded in a new district with a restaurant, retailers and apartments. There is also a public parking garage in the same wing of the building. The immediate proximity to Kloten train station with direct connections to Zurich and Winterthur also ensures very good transport connections.
red KG AG was allowed to accompany the owners in the development of this hotel. At the time red KG AG received the mandate for this project, the volume of the building had already been defined by a design plan.
A central challenge in this project was to design a space-efficient product in this building layout, which is not ideal for hotels, which also meets the high standards of international hotel brands.
Due to the limited space available, the building offered a product in the economy segment. The market analysis confirmed that a corresponding product in this centrally located location will meet with high demand.
On this basis, red KG AG sought and found an operator for the hotel.
